Wanneer Minato Narumiya naar de prefectuur Kazemai High School gaat, wordt hij snel door Tommy-sensei, de adviseur van de club, uitgenodigd om lid te worden van de boogschietclub. Zijn jeugdvrienden Seiya Takehaya en Ryohei Yamanouchi stemmen er snel mee in om mee te doen, maar Minato aarzelt aanvankelijk. Omdat Minato de zeldzame student is met ervaring in boogschieten, geeft Tommy-sensei hem de opdracht een demonstratie te geven, wat Minato doet... alleen raakt zijn pijl het doel niet.
